Orange Business Services appoints Tim Cavill managing director ANZ

Orange Business Services, the business communications arm of France Telecom, has appointed Tim Cavill as managing director for Australia and New Zealand.

With more than 20 years of tech and services experience, Cavill will focus on positioning Orange Business Services as the leading enterprise communications service provider and promote Network Related Services for large multinationals and strategic business services such as telepresence.

Based in Sydney, Cavill reports to Yee May Leong, senior vice president Asia Pacific of Orange Business Services.

“The Australian and New Zealand team at Orange Business Services is well positioned to continue along the path of revenue growth, profitability and new segment evolution,” stated Leong. “Tim will ensure these aggressive plans are secure and implemented solidly in our largest APAC market.”

Working at SAP for nine years, Cavill was vice president, Indirect Channels, Asia Pacific and Japan, as well as being responsible for indirect strategy while in SAP’s Global Leadership Team. Prior to this, Cavill was managing director at Viewlocity, a global high-end supply-chain software company.

“We have aggressive plans to expand the Network Related Services teams to meet demand from a wide range of large corporate clients,” said Cavill. “Orange Business Services has shown double-digit growth during the past three years, and I will work closely with the senior management team to build on that momentum.”

Orange Business Services has a leading market share in international IP VPN in Asia Pacific and views this region as a dominant force in global business markets. Thanks to regional investments, Orange Business Services continues strengthening its position as an integrated communications solutions provider in Asia Pacific.

With in excess of 240 staff, Orange Business Services serves some of the world’s largest multinational customers from the mining and resources, finance, pharmaceutical, health and logistics industries in Australia and New Zealand.
