Australian company wins Platinum award for its global export success
Sydney, Australia: Thursday 14 May 2009 – The ADWEB Agency, creators of Intranet DASHBOARD (iD), has scooped one of only two coveted Platinum awards at the 2009 CeBIT Australia Business Awards.

Announced in Sydney overnight, the CeBIT.AU Platinum Award for Export Excellence award recognises iD’s international export success which has seen the intranet, extranet and portal solution grown its international market across 65 countries.

iD beat a range of Australian and multinational contenders to take out the award. The CeBIT.AU Platinum Award for Export Excellence is one of two Platinum awards – the categories considered most coveted by the CeBIT Australia Board of Advisors. This award is given for overall export excellence, considering not just export revenues but also the company’s identification of export opportunities and the successful execution of its export strategy.

“We’re thrilled to be recognised as an Australian company successfully competing on the international stage,” said Connie Pandos, co-founder and director of The ADWEB Agency.

“We see this as an affirmation of not only the value of the Intranet DASHBOARD product, but also our commitment to a global marketing strategy. Even in difficult times, growth is still possible. In fact, we’ve achieved our best US sales ever over the past six months.”

“This award is a great recognition of the hardworking staff and partners who’ve helped us grow the iD business globally. We’ve built a great US and UK partner network and we’re looking at extending our global partner network to continue to grow.

Intranet DASHBOARD increased its sales of iD both domestically and globally year-on-year, with 40 per cent of revenues for the past two years coming from the export market. Its US sales have increased 40 per cent over the past six months.

“We see a big opportunity for further growth as our new release, iD 3.0, offers the most affordable alternative to SharePoint on the market,” said Pandos.

iD launched the new version of its flagship product, the intranet, extranet and portal platform – iD 3.0 at CeBIT Australia this week. iD 3.0 is a major upgrade of the communications platform, boasting an all new enterprise search and wiki-like content management system (CMS), as well as features designed to help businesses of all sizes streamline and manage their corporate communications.
