AUSTRALIA – 7 May 2009 –
3Com Corporation, a leading
provider of converged network infrastructure solutions, today announced the
appointment of Rob Lawrence to the position of account director. In this role,
Lawrence will service 3Com’s enterprise customers
in Queensland
within the corporate, government and education sectors.
With 18 years of
IT experience in the Queensland market,
Lawrence will
focus on developing the 3Com business as well as managing its existing
customers. He will also work closely with the channel to develop new and
existing partnerships.

New

in the Queensland market will provide additional
value for our sales and marketing teams as we focus on fulfilling our customers’
business needs and regional expansion.”
Lawrence spent five years at Citrix as a territory manager
for Queensland, the Northern Territory and the Pacific Islands before joining 3Com. In this role
he was responsible for Citrix’s whole-of-government strategy for Queensland. In the 10
months prior to his move to 3Com, Lawrence held
the position of enterprise account manager for Queensland. He has also served as an account
manager at Volante and Getronics.
