Sydney, 30 June 2009: Canon Australia
has announced the appointment of Richard Hamlin to the position of senior general
manager – direct sales, Canon Australia.
Beginning
the new role this month Richard will be responsible for all direct sales for
Canon nationally, which include business hardware, software and managed
services.
Previously
Richard held several senior management positions within Brambles Limited, the
last being Managing Director, Recall UK. Richard has extensive
experience in the business services industry, providing document managed
solutions to the government and corporate sectors.
Richard’s
experience also includes roles in government, not for profit organisations and
corporate sectors including; Sedgemoor Group in the UK,
Landcare Australia,
and Scholastic Australia. Richard replaces Nick Peterson, who has been with
Canon for four years.
“Richard
brings significant senior management experience, gained in Australia and the United
Kingdom, and will help to further develop Canon Australia as a leader in business printing and
document management solutions,” says Allan Corder, Chief Operating Officer and
Deputy Managing Director, Canon Australia.

tailored end-to-end document solutions”, said Richard. “More than anything
we’re providing solutions that support our customers’ individual commercial, technological
