CA
(NASDAQ: CA) today announced three significant appointments designed to bolster
CA’s developing sales effort throughout the Asia Pacific & Japan region.
Infrastructure
management (IM) and networking expert Stephen Miles has taken on the role of
Vice President, Solutions Sales, while Vicki Batka becomes Senior Director,
Channel Sales and Jim Fisher is named Vice President, Regional Channel Sales.
Jim
Fisher appointed Vice President, Regional Channel Sales, Asia Pacific &
Japan
Sydney-based
Fisher now leads execution of CA APJ’s partner sales strategy for the Company’s
enterprise products. He joined CA in 2000, following CA’s acquisition of
Sterling Software, for which he ran the Business Intelligence Division across
Asia Pacific. During his nine years at CA, Fisher has held a number of sales
posts, including those of regional Marketing VP and Sales Operations VP.
Before working for Sterling Software, he was Managing
Director of Information Advantage (Australia), following a number of senior management
positions in Australian and multinational organisations.
Gavin Selkirk, Corporate Senior Vice
President & General Manager, CA Asia Pacific & Japan, said: “These

APJ management structure to deepen and broaden sales reach across the region.

Stephen
Miles appointed Vice President, Solutions Sales, Asia Pacific & Japan
From
his base in Singapore, Miles will drive line-of-business sales in IM, with a
sharp focus on serving telecommunications operators and carriers. The Company
is uniquely positioned by an ability to provide an accelerated service
management transformation for network operators through the unification of CA’s
IM, application performance management and data automation products.
Miles holds more than 20 years’ IT software
and networking experience, after running regional business operations in Asia
Pacific for leading networking and software management organisations such as
Bay Networks, Nortel and EMC. Prior to joining CA, he was Sales VP for the
Infrastructure Management Group at EMC, where he specialised in service
assurance solutions for service providers and enterprises.
Vicki
Batka appointed Senior Director, Channel Sales, Asia Pacific
Based
in Singapore, Batka now heads up CA’s Recovery Management & Data Modeling
(RMDM) business in Asia Pacific with emphasis on building the Company’s RMDM
Partner Program and formulating territory plans to achieve sales targets. She
reports to Worldwide Storage Sales SVP & GM Adam Famularo, who also handles
all aspects of CA’s RMDM business in Japan.
Batka
has worked in IT across the Asia Pacific & Japan region for more than 20
years, eight of which have been spent at CA in director roles covering channel
sales and marketing operations. Prior to joining CA, she performed senior channel
roles for companies such as Network Associates, Adobe Systems and Toshiba.
