Announcement posted by Pan International (Australia) Pty Ltd 14 Dec 2009
This intergenerational community choir has a full contingent of forty-two gospel singers ranging in age from nine to fifty three. The choir was formed under the guidance of vocalist and music teacher Trevor Davy. Trevor has harnessed the spirit of communal singing to bring a range of his students, both private and from Murdoch College, past and present (adults, children, high school students) coming from across Perth, to perform as the Special Mention Singers.
For their Sunset@Subi appearance the choir will sing two sets. The first set delivers on the soul-gospel-fusion style the choir are known for. Songs include well know hits from the 1970s including Africa by Toto and Don Henley’s love song Hearts of the Matter.
In the second set the choir will perform their own arrangements of traditional and contemporary Christmas songs including all the perennial favourites to celebrate the start of the festive season. The audience can join in with the singing, or relax and enjoy the vibes of festive goodwill.
The concert takes place at JH Abrahams Reserve, The Avenue, Crawley Foreshore. Bring family and friends to this beautiful location and join in the Christmas cheer with Perth’s finest community choir.
