Disco Canpito’s performance spectacular

Announcement posted by Pan International (Australia) Pty Ltd 28 Dec 2009

Come and enjoy the City of Subiaco’s first Sunset@Subi concert for 2010, Disco Canpito. This acrobatic show and workshop provides a great summer holiday activity and event for the entire family.

This fun, fanciful and unique performance combines music, acrobatics, dance, comedy and audience participation, and culminates in the amazing million-trillion-quintillion hula hoop stack. The show will also include a ‘make your own hula hoop workshop’ where children are shown how to construct and use a hula hoop so they can join the hip orbiting fun.

Accomplished acrobat Isobel is the artistic director of Disco Canpito Association, an incorporated non-profit association which aims to promote and develop the performance and education of the performance arts.

Disco Canpito Association embodies Isobel’s passion for community arts as a vehicle to further community well-being for all through meaningful, purposeful engagement, participation and inclusion. She has performed this solo show in every mainland capital of Australia, as well as at the National Circus Festival (Tasmania), the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (including the Best of the Fest cabaret with Adam Hills, Ross Noble and Jimeoin throwing her hoops!), the LiveBait Festival (Sydney) and Port Fairy Folk Festival.

This act is a fast-paced, entertaining and engaging event to be enjoyed amidst the lush cool garden surrounds of Subiaco’s delightful parklands.

The Sunset@Subi concert series of open air community events offer the public a diverse and inclusive program of concerts and workshops showcasing the very best contemporary music and performing arts talent from the west.

Disco Canpito is on Sunday 3 January, 2010 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at the JH Abrahams Reserve. For more information or a brochure contact the City of Subiaco on 9237 9222 or visit the website www.subiaco.wa.gov.au.
