This is the city’s last Sunset@Subi free summer concert, which takes place on Sunday March 7 between 5.30 and 7.30 pm at Lake Jualbup, corner of Herbert Road and Lake Avenue, Shenton Park.
Santana aficionados rate The Australian Santana Experience highly. Their ability to accurately reproduce the sophisticated sounds of the original Santana performances is a testament to each musician’s love of the music and their technical attention to detail.
The line up of the band includes local Perth guitarist and teacher Sam Musca on lead guitar. Ezio Caffarelli contributes background vocals, keyboards and percussion, Jim Awram builds a backbone of rhythm using the bass guitar with Tommy Gi on drums.
Other members of the tribute band include Russell Burrows, one of Perth’s eminent percussionists, George Perkins a specialist on timbales and assorted other percussive instruments, plus the vocal gymnastics of Frank Genovesi’s rich voice.
These outdoor summer concerts have showcased some of the best music and performing arts talent to be found in Western Australia. The series ends on a deep and soulful rhythmic note with the sensational tribute band The Australian Santana Experience.
