Announcement posted by Strawberry Communications 26 Mar 2010
Strum the strings of Paul McCartney’s guitar, or pick up some valuable sporting memorabilia at the Mummy’s Wish Paint the Town Red fundraising gala event.
The Mummy’s Wish charity is holding a red-themed gala event to raise money for mothers with cancer on 16 April and you’re invited!
This Paint the Town Red event will help the charity raise funds to provide much-needed help for mothers battling cancer, while trying to raise a young family. The gala event is supported by the Australian Red Cross Blood Service, which hopes to see an increase in blood donations and educate the community about the strong association between blood donations and cancer.
Australia’s Got Talent finalist Jal Joshua will perform live at the gala event, and raffles and auctions will be held throughout the night with some very valuable items up for grabs, including one of Paul McCartney’s signed guitars and sporting memorabilia.
It will be held at Kedron Wavell Services Club, 375 Hamilton Road, Chermside between 7pm and 11.30pm on Friday, 16 April.
Dress – cocktail (red if you like) and tickets are $75 per person, or $650 for a table of 10. Numbers are limited so tickets must be booked by 31 March.
Tickets include live entertainment, beverages, cocktail food and fun!
To book or for more information visit www.mummyswish.org.au/gala or email gala@mummyswish.org.au
Join the Paint the Town Red campaign by making a donation to Mummy's Wish and/or registering to donate blood. Supporters can also participate in a ‘Paint the Town Red’ activity, such as spreading the word about the need for blood donations or organising Paint the Town Red Day at their workplace by dressing in red, dying their hair red or holding a red morning tea.
