3 Suisses Builds the ‘Buy Anywhere, Fulfil Anywhere, Return Anywhere Supply Chain’ with Manhattan Associates
Global supply chain optimisation provider Manhattan
Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANH) has announced that the Consumer Division of 3
Suisses International Group, one of Europe’s leading players in the distance
selling market, has selected Manhattan Associates' Distributed Order Management
(DOM) and Extended Enterprise Management (EEM) solutions to orchestrate the
allocation and fulfilment of cross-channel orders across its multiple brands: 3
Suisses, 3 Pagen, Blanche Porte, Becquet, Bleu Bonheur, Helline, Unigro, Venca,
Vitrine Magique, Witt International and Apart. Manhattan’s solutions will be
integrated with each of the respective brands’ ERP and sales systems, enabling
the retailer to benefit from real-time visibility of inventory and data across
its extended supply chain. This will provide executives with full transparency
of sales orders and inventory across every brand operation and in every sales
channel as well as throughout the supporting distribution network so as to
optimise the allocation of inventory and maximise every sales opportunity.
“Our central objective is to maximise customer satisfaction by optimising our
customer’s shopping experience - no matter which channel or brand they choose
to engage with us through or what products or services they wish to buy.
And we needed a supply chain technology platform that would enable us to
meet this strategic objective,” explains Catherine Dussart, Director of
Business Organisation at 3 Suisses France. “We selected Manhattan’s DOM and EEM
solutions for their ability to align with our global multichannel strategy, as
well as for their ability to be fully integrated with our various, existing,
enterprise systems. Working in a complementary fashion with our other business
applications, the Manhattan solutions will play a pivotal role in collecting
and aggregating data coming from our various front office and inventory
systems. The new technology platform will enable each of 3 Suisses
International Group’s Consumer Division operations to process and fulfil orders
coming from multiple channels by allocating inventory against those orders in
the most optimal way to maximise customer satisfaction.”
3 Suisses International’s Consumer Division brands will rely on Manhattan’s DOM
solution to manage and execute many thousands of orders each day. The new
system will help them to optimise the order fulfilment process by providing an
instant and global view of inventory as well as advanced system functionality
that supports a multichannel order fulfilment operation.
Manhattan’s EEM solution will enable the 3 Suisses International Group to be
connected with more than 1,600 suppliers and benefit from real-time visibility
on upstream product flows. Manhattan’s solution provides event management and
workflow alert capabilities so that users are able to react instantaneously to
events as they happen or anticipate problems before they arise. In addition to
providing the Group with this insight into its extended supply chain, EEM will
enable the brands to offer new services such as the direct delivery of goods
from a supplier to the consumer for bulky items such as white goods or
furniture.
As well as being integrated with the respective brands’ ERP and sales systems,
Manhattan’s EEM and DOM solutions will be integrated with the various warehouse
management systems they use, including Manhattan’s Warehouse Management
solution.
“The DOM and EEM roll-outs will complement the existing installation of
Manhattan’s Warehouse Management solution and represent major components of the
Group’s systems reengineering programme,” underlines Pierre Gressier, CIO of 3
Suisses International Group’s Consumer Division. “Our objective is to build a
world-class technology platform for multichannel distance selling, to support
business processes and to optimise the service we provide to our customers.”
"We are delighted that 3 Suisses International Group’s Consumer Division
has selected our DOM and EEM solutions,” comments Jeff Baum, senior vice
president, international at Manhattan Associates. “Today’s consumers want to be
able to browse, buy, collect and return goods in a way which makes the whole
shopping experience a positive and convenient one every time, and so retail
organisations need to focus on optimising the shopping experience across all
channels and at every customer touch-point. 3 Suisses International Group is
pursuing a strategy to transform itself into a world-class multichannel
retailer by making customer satisfaction its number one priority, and we’re
delighted to be playing such a key role in helping one of France’s foremost
distance-selling retailers to fulfil its strategic objectives.”
