Ardent Leisure Implements Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to Consolidate Multiple Operating Divisions

Single ERP Platform Enables Streamlined Accounting and Inventory Processes

News Facts

Ardent Leisure, Australia’s successful owners and operators of premium leisure assets, has implemented Oracle’s JD Edwards EnterpriseOne 9.0.  The implementation is a migration from the organisation’s 15-year-old system based on JD Edwards World that was originally deployed at one of the company’s divisions.  With JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Ardent Leisure can eventually streamline all of its operating divisions onto a single ERP platform.

Ardent Leisure’s assets within Australia include the Dreamworld and WhiteWater World theme parks and attractions; QDeck; AMF and Kingpin Bowling; and d'Albora Marinas and Goodlife Health Clubs. Ardent Leisure also operates Main Event, which is a growing portfolio of family entertainment assets in the United States.

To minimise business disruption and manage implementation risk, Ardent Leisure embarked on a phased approach of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementation. The solution has been deployed across all of the d'Albora Marinas and Goodlife Health Clubs to manage the financial and accounting procedures as well as contract billings for the two divisions.

Ardent Leisure’s employees within d’Albora Marinas and Goodlife Health Clubs have been quick to understand and interact with the software due to its simplicity. The time saved in the training process and adaption to the new software has effectively led to increased staff productivity.

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne deployment has allowed Ardent Leisure to achieve greater organisational visibility and coordination by consolidating its business reporting resources. It has also provided a platform for inventory processing and the tracking of fixed assets across the group.

d’Albora Marinas went live in October, 2009 and Goodlife Health Clubs went live in April, 2010. Plans are underway to deploy the software throughout the entire Ardent Leisure group of divisions within the next twelve months with anticipated go live for AMF and Kingpin Bowling scheduled for November, 2010.
