Seccom and Fortinet Rated in Leading Industry Analyst Firm’s MarketScope
SYDNEY, 1 October. Seccom Global, leading Australian managed security services providers (MSSP), have today announced receiving a “Strong Positive” rating in Gartner’s September 2010 MarketScope for Managed Security Services in Asia/Pacific Report *
The report analysed seventeen MSSPs operating across the Asia Pacific, with “Strong Positive” the highest possible rating given.
Seccom Global’s Chief Information Officer, Gavin Matthews, believes Seccom’s high level of customer satisfaction stems from the engineering teams extensive awareness of supported Fortinet (Nasdaq:FTNT) FortiGateÒ multi-function security appliance technology and a flexible approach to technical service and delivery.
“Seccom started its business on the Fortigate platform seven years ago because it believed in the technology and vision of its founders. Our success in the market has been substantially assisted by Fortinet’s ability to constantly meet the market need for change and innovation as threat landscapes change. Great technology combined with commitment to customer support and service is a good recipe for any MSSP”
The report lends support to Seccom Global’s belief that it has a very strong business case for organisations requiring an MSSP with strong capabilities in the management of distributed Fortinet FortiGate devices. FortiGate systems are ASIC-accelerated security appliances that integrate core security and network functionalities including firewall, SSL and IPSec VPN, antivirus, intrusion prevention, Web filtering, antispam, application control, data loss prevention, SSL traffic inspection and WAN optimisation.
