Pacen Banishes Bloated Email Attachments that Slow Down iPad and Mobile Phone Performance

Pacen Corp (www.pacen.com.au), an Australian systems integrator of IT security and efficiency management solutions, have today announced the Australian and New Zealand availability of a solution for businesses looking to reduce the size of bloated email file attachments.
NXPowerLite automatically optimises Microsoft Office documents and graphics files, dramatically reducing the amount of storage space needed for the files, and the network download quota needed to transmit them to mobile phones and iPad devices.
File size reductions of greater than 65% can often be achieved for files in JPEG format, Microsoft Powerpoint 97-2010, Microsoft Excel 97-2010, and Microsoft Word 97–2010 formats. Optimised files remain in their original file format, meaning no special actions or software are needed to use the optimised file.

Both a server and desktop client version of the NXPowerLite solution are available, allowing several flexible deployment options for businesses. The file server solution provides scheduled background optimisation of centrally stored files, resulting in a completely automatic and unobtrusive implementation for end users. The desktop client solution optimises files as they are attached to emails, as well as allowing employees to selectively optimise files. File formats optimised include JPEG images, Microsoft Powerpoint 97-2010, Excel 97-2010, and Word 97–2010.

NXPowerLite Desktop Edition requires a PC running Microsoft Windows 2000 or later. Microsoft Integration features require Microsoft Office 2002–2010. Email client integration is supported for Microsoft Outlook 2002-2010, Lotus Notes 6.0-8.5, Outlook Express and Windows Mail.
