INMARSAT SUPPORTS AUSTRALIAN DISASTER RECOVERY EFFORTS WITH HEAVILY SUBSIDISED SATPHONES AVAILABLE THROUGH TC COMNUNICATIONS

TC COMMUNICATIONS AND INMARSAT BAND TOGETHER TO HELP REBUILD VITAL COMMUNICATIONS LINKS IN QUEENSLAND

Therecent spate of natural disasters throughout Australia, from the Queensland floods to Cyclone Yasi, have placed a huge strain on the budgets of departments involved in the rebuilding of infrastructure across all tiers of government. With the destruction of so much communications infrastructure, the role of satellite communications in the rebuilding process has become critical.

In recognition of the crucial importance of reliable communications links during this time, TC Communications has worked together with Inmarsat (the world's most reliable satellite communications carrier) to offer heavily subsidised satellite handsets to all levels of government within Australia so as to provide assistance for the rebuilding effort.
