Buffalo’s AOSS enables Easy-Wifi Connection to the AirStation
February 22, 2011:Buffalo Inc today announced the release of its “AOSS for Android” in response to the increasing demand amongst Smartphone users to enjoy broadband through Wi-Fi connections.
Commenting on the development of the Android app for Buffalo’s AirStation wireless router, Akihito Kondo, Buffalo’s Group Manager, Southeast Asia and Oceania Group, Asia-Pacific Sales, said “In the past, only the very tech-savvy used our AirStation wireless router and access points.
“However, with the increasing adoption of smartphones by mainstream customers, we recognised that more user-friendly applications will be increasingly sought after. That is why Buffalo’s AOSS enables easy configuration of the Wi-Fi connection between the Buffalo AirStation wireless router and an Android device.”
To complete the one-touch connection, AirStation owners with Android devices simply follow the instructions in the application screens and press the AOSS button on the wireless router. Reassuringly, security (encryption) settings are performed automatically. It couldn’t be easier!
