Arc @ UNSW Launches iPhone App

Arc launched its brand spanking new iPhone ’Publications App’ recently, giving UNSW students the chance to get their hands on Arc’s unique brand of magazines, newspapers, journals and other highly regarded publications while on the go.
What does it do?
Arc Publications App gives UNSW students their favourite sections of all of Arc’s publications (Blitz, Tharunka,Student Cookbook and UNSWeetened) in their back pocket.
Features include:
• Campus news
• Uni event info
• Fresh-off-the-press and back copies of Blitz Magazine, Tharunka, Student Cookbook and UNSWeetened
How do I download it?
From your computer:
1. Open iTunes
2. Access the iTunes Store
3. Search for Arc or Arc Publications
4. Select the ‘Arc Publications’ application from the ‘iPhone Apps’ Section
5. Download the Application
From your phone:
1. Open App Store
2. Search for Arc or Arc Publications
3. Click install
4. Download the application
Student Facilitation
The App was developed by a team of talented UNSW students contracted by Arc as part of its Student Facilitation Program (SFP). SFP aims to increase student engagement at all levels of Arc’s organisation from developing, creating and delivering services and programs to members.
Industry Leader
Arc is one of the first student organisation in the country to launch its own iPhone app. The Publications App has cemented Arc’s position as industry leader in emerging technology harnessing the potential of UNSW students.

Arc plans to launch a second app, ’Arc iDiary’ in mid-March; features include:
• A mobile student diary
• GPS discount locator
• Calendars from key groups on campus and
• The ability to share what’s happening on campus through Facebook and Twitter
