Blefari Cafe teams with Latte Art Champ Erin Sampson for Coffee Kids

Adelaide’s Victoria Square can expect see some coffee queues onFriday March 25as guest barista, Veneziano Coffee’s Erin Sampson, steps in to help the guys at Blefari, all in the name of charity.

From 7.30am - 11.30am on Friday customers will be able to appease their coffee conscience by making a gold coin donation in return for a medium sized espresso based drink. And at the same time enjoy watching Latte Art champion and Australian Barista Championship finalist Erin Sampson turn out some winning designs.

The aim is to raise some funds for Coffee Kids, a not for profit organisation that works to improve the quality of life for families in South America’s coffee farming communities. All proceeds raised by Blefari will go directly to Coffee Kids.

With programs in place such as Fairtrade ensuring that coffee farmers are being compensated adequately, Coffee Kids aims to develop programs that assist producers and the communities break the dependence on coffee production as their only source of income, thereby breaking the poverty cycle.
