#NewUXCConnect Launches as UXC Infrastructure Business Units Merge
Effective July 1, 2011 the new business will have over 650 employees and projected first-year revenues of $235 million and it will form a commanding presence in the Australian technology landscape by dominating the market in innovation.
According to Poole, the new company will have a significantly expanded skillset and solutions portfolio to any of the three companies individually. It will be positioned well to compete with large Australian and multinational integrators for large customer contracts.
“The new UXC Connect will be bigger, bolder and more competitive, offering a renewed focus on innovative service models and solutions. It’s exciting to now be the largest Australian owned ICT infrastructure solutions and services company. Our combined strength enables us to service large corporate and government organisations, and we will be particularly appealing to those who want to buy Australian,” said Ian Poole, CEO UXC Connect.
Various work groups have spent the last 6 months preparing for the merger, with the final days of planning ensuring a seamless transition.
“The commencement of business on July 1 will be the culmination of many months of hard work by teams that have been formed across our three companies to ensure a smooth transition. At the heart of a successful launch will be our ability to provide the opportunities and benefits that come with the new larger company, without disruption to business for any of our customers and partners,” said Poole.
UXC Connect was selected as the name for the new entity following extensive consultation with customer facing employees across the three organisations. The new company is structured around our customers to best meet their needs, with the promise to connect technology with business outcomes. In order to facilitate customer focused values, the company’s account management and service teams will be state based to ensure a flexible approach.
UXC Connect’s primary solutions will include outsourced, hosted and managed services; cloud and premise unified communications; mobility; secure networking; data centre and storage management; contact centre solutions. Our customers will benefit from national 24x7 support – including options to provide full outsourcing of desktop and managed services for networks and communications. National functions include the project management office, finance, solutions and marketing, and people and culture teams. Further business efficiencies include the outsourcing and refinement of back office function to the UXC Business Services Unit. The company has also invested in a service management office to drive innovation, thought leadership and continuous improvement, with a dedicated team working exclusively with customers to find ways to do business better.
“We will continue to work closely with our customers to drive and support their business, using the breadth of our technology partners to find and deliver the best solutions,” said Poole. “UXC Connect will go where our customers ask us – from Parliament House to the Pilbara – to provide innovative and customisable solutions.”
