Advanced Solutions International achieves Australia’s ‘BRW Best Places to Work 2011’ status

Third consecutive accolade for the not-for-profit partner

Melbourne, 23 June 2011Advanced Solutions International (ASI) has been named one of the 50 best places to work in Australia by the Great Place to Work Institute’s 2011 survey, published today in BRW magazine. This is the third year in a row ASI has received the accolade, rising in ranking each year to be placed 41 on the illustrious list amongst some of Australia’s leading organisations and workplaces.

The exclusive accolade comes at a time when ASI has focused on growing its business into new markets and leveraging acquisitions, and is testimony to the company’s emphasis on maintaining a great place to work while simultaneously celebrating its new staff and culture.

ASI’s inclusion in the BRW Best Places to Work 2011 is particularly commendable following the acquisition of Donor Management (DonMan) in September 2010; a quarter of ASI’s employees now hail from the new acquisition and the company scored an impressive 97% on the final and key question, ‘Do you think this is a great place to work?’

As a company that works exclusively with not-for-profit organisations, ASI encourages its staff to give back to the charities and organisations with which it works. Each employee is given a half day every month for volunteer work, and group fundraising activities are common.

In addition to its numerous staff support initiatives, ASI has also been highlighted for successfully promoting flexible working and telecommuting for many years by fostering an environment of trust. Flexible hours are standard within the company and a large percentage of ASI staff work from home.

“Having ASI named as one of the country’s Best Places to Work for the third time is a real honour,” said Paul Ramsbottom, Managing Director, ASI Asia-Pacific. “What could have been a difficult year for our staff has proven to be better than ever. I have the pleasure of working with an exceptionally dedicated and passionate team who genuinely believe in the not-for-profit sector, so it’s important that ASI continues its commitment to a rewarding, positive and supportive workplace for them.”

This is the third year the exclusive ‘Great Places to Work’ survey has opened eligibility for small companies such as ASI to enter.

ASI's software, including its flagship product iMIS, is used by more than 600 not-for-profit organisations in the Asia-Pacific region including National Breast Cancer Foundation, Cancer Council Victoria, The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, The Royal Australian College Of General Practitioners, Surf Life Saving Foundation and The Tax Practitioners Board.
