Observatory Crest to distribute MobileIron Mobile Device Management Solutions in Australia and New Zealand
The agreement covers the full range of MobileIron’s MDM solutions, including the MobileIron Virtual Smartphone Platform.
The increasing use of devices such as smartphones and tablets in enterprise environments introduces security, visibility and management challenges. The MobileIron platform was built from the ground up to help global companies secure and manage mobile devices and applications in an increasingly complex environment. As businesses become more mobile, IT needs to support multiple operating systems at scale, ensure enterprise data is secure on both corporate- and employee-owned devices, and build and deliver mobile applications. MobileIron provides the foundation to manage corporate data on mobile devices, and an Enterprise App Storefront for application discovery and deployment. MobileIron supports multiple operating systems, including iOS and Android. It provides visibility into what applications are running on a smart device without compromising privacy, and allows IT departments and users to better secure data and control costs.
“There has been an explosion in BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices) in enterprises over the last couple of years and IT departments are struggling to keep up,” said Observatory Crest director Martin Christmas. “MobileIron provides this management capability and Observatory Crest’s network of resellers provides the channel to reach those enterprise users. Under the agreement Observatory Crest will distribute the product and provide specialist training and technical support skills to our resellers, as well as assist with ongoing maintenance services.”
MobileIron’s head of technical sales Tim Youm said, “The management of mobile devices is becoming a mainstream enterprise IT issue. In Observatory Crest we have a partner that understands this issue and can help us get to market through its network of resellers. Observatory Crest is known for the level of technical and marketing support it provides to its partners and we look to leverage those capabilities as we expand our business in the Australian and New Zealand region.”
