Announcement posted by NRMA Motoring & Services 07 Jul 2011
NRMA Motoring & Services President Wendy Machin said people from all walks of life would be able to apply for a grant and fund a project that addresses a local road safety concern.
"Primary School grants, as well as those for High Schools, are available for the first time this year. Grant funding is also available to support the development of road safety teaching resources for interactive whiteboards," Ms Machin said
"More and more schools are embracing a digital learning environment in the classroom and we want to help schools develop innovative and engaging road safety teaching resources that other schools can share.
"These grants are available to all government and not for profit organisations in NSW and the ACT. We want schools, youth organisations, parent and community groups to start thinking about how an NRMA Safer Driving School Road Safety Grant can work for them.
"The sky’s the limit – the NRMA welcomes submissions for a wide range of projects that could potentially save lives.
"People are busy and we know it takes time to develop ideas to their full potential which is why people should start planning their NRMA grant application now."

- High Schools – Ten $1,000 grants.
