Jane Ianniello Presents on Gambling and Leisure Trends - a Decade in Review

Announcement posted by Roy Morgan Research 14 Jul 2011

Roy Morgan Research

Join us at our seminar on Gambling and Leisure Trends featuring Jane Ianniello, Roy Morgan International Director – Tourism, Travel & Leisure

Jane says:

“Over the past decade there has been a shift in the leisure activities undertaken by Australians. Although there are multiple factors causing this shift, the most important one has been the Internet. It has fundamentally changed the way people socialise and entertain themselves.

The percentage of Australians who gamble has fallen over the past decade. Patronage of gambling venues such as licensed clubs, casinos and newsagents has declined, providing less opportunity for people to buy a scratch ticket or play the pokies. And although many Australians have embraced the Internet for their banking, retail, and entertainment needs, Internet gambling is still in its infancy.”

Jane will present insights from Roy Morgan Single Source at a relaxed seminar/discussion forum to which you are cordially invited.
