Announcement posted by Fujitsu Australia Limited 14 Jul 2011
Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, a leading provider of ICT business solutions, has been appointed by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) to the Whole of Government Internet Based Network Connection Services (IBNCS) Panel.
The panel provides Federal as well as State and Territory agencies with a list of proven suppliers that can tender to provide services in four separately purchasable categories including network carriage services, virtual connection management services, IP carriage services, and major Internet connection services.
This announcement follows Fujitsu’s recent appointment to the Data Centre Migration Services (DCMS) and Telecommunications Management (TMAN) Panels, and complements Fujitsu’s recent appointment as New Developments Deployment Partner for the National Broadband Network (NBN), further reinforcing the company’s position as a key player in the network services business in Australia.
Phil McCormack, Fujitsu’s Group Executive Director, Australian Government, said: “Inclusion in the IBNCS Panel places Fujitsu in a strategic position to provide end-to-end telecommunications and networking services to Commonwealth Government Agencies and confirms Fujitsu’s place as a key supplier to Commonwealth Government.”
Mike Foster, CEO of Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, said: “Our inclusion on the IBNCS Panel and other recent Whole of Government Panels acknowledges our increased focus on telecommunications and networking. This is yet another example of how we have been able to leverage our significant presence, skills base and ongoing investments in Australia to improve efficiencies for Commonwealth Government Agencies.
