SYDNEY - Ideas International (IDEAS, ASX:IDE) has upgraded its server consolidation tool, ServerCAR for IT Buyersin IDEAS Advantage and IT Sellers in Competitive Profiles, with new features that improve productivity and accuracy of outcomes. The highlight of these enhancements is the new Target Server Wizard, which allows users to evaluate potential solutions using a five-star ranking feature according to various metrics, including performance, performance per watt, and performance per cost.
“The new Target Server Wizard is a great improvement to ServerCAR because it guides users to outcomes based on their requirements,” said Daniel Bowers, vice president and senior analyst at IDEAS. “Behind the scenes, the Target Server Wizard analyzes over 20,000 potential solutions and prioritizes them using a five-star ranking, which means the wizard can suggest outcomes that the users may not have even considered.” Mr. Bowers added, “It is like having an analyst on call to take the complexity out of narrowing down potential server options.” The new Target Server Wizard is powered by RPE2, the industry-leading server performance estimate from IDEAS.
In addition to the Target Server Wizard, ServerCAR had improvements made to the Smart Import tool to provide greater accuracy when importing server asset registers into the tool. ServerCAR now also includes memory perspectives, enabling users to compare their current and prospective solutions according to memory capacity.
