4.0 Releases of Business Intelligence and Enterprise Information Management Solutions from the SAP® BusinessObjects™ Portfolio Now Generally Available

SAP NEWSBYTE — Sept. 19, 2011 — Delivering on its business analytics product road map, SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced the global general availability of the 4.0 releases of business intelligence (BI) and enterprise information management (EIM) solutions from the SAP BusinessObjects™ portfolio, including the 4.0 release of SAP BusinessObjects™ Edge BI software. The solutions represent the future of analytics with real-time, mobile and social capabilities to help organizations better understand their businesses and make confident, data-driven decisions.

From large enterprises to small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) and lines of business, all types of organizations and people can use the 4.0 releases to unlock valuable new insights whether they are in the office or on the go. And with new innovations such as mobile BI for iPad and planned enhancements such as location-based analytics enabled by Google Maps™ integration, customers can analyze and visualize business and social data with their fingertips.

The new BI solutions have been designed in concert with the 4.0 release of SAP BusinessObjects EIM solutions, as well as SAP HANA™ appliance software to enable customers to perform real-time analytics on big data. And with new capabilities such as SAP BusinessObjects™ Information Steward software, business and IT can collaborate like never before to help ensure information governance across the enterprise.
