CBO Telecommunications launches new Auto Acquire VSAT Trailer to their Mobility Solutions range.

CBO Telecommunications has just launched a new product to add to their Mobility Solutions range, The Edge - VSAT Trailer.

The Edge - VSAT Trailer was designed and manufactured in Queensland by CBO after the company found a lack of suitable apparatus for companies who needed temporary wireless connectivity in regional and remote locations.

The Edge - VSAT Trailer is a fully integrated trailer solution and has an auto-acquire VSAT system which offers a completely independent and secure wireless link from local infrastructure. “This is a good backup particularly for when there are potential natural disasters like flooding and storms as the link is a separate one and can be established in minutes.” Mark McGregor, CBO Telecommunications, Managing Director said. “The VSAT Trailer is air conditioned so it can operate in temperatures ranging from -3 to over 50 degrees and has a smart switch generator which means that you don’t have to have power on site. “

The Edge – VSAT Trailer is the latest addition to CBO’s Mobility Solutions range along with The Edge – Solar Mobility Trailer and The Edge – Office Anywhere.

The Edge - Solar Mobility Trailer is a network extension solution and is powered by a solar photovoltaic panel and a battery pack or a diesel generator and mains supply can also be used. “We can add a [Telstra] Next G modem for backhaul, or whatever link the customer would like, including satellite or microwave to a point of presence.” McGregor said. Currently The Edge -Solar Mobility Trailer is being used by one of Queensland’s regional power generator company’s as both a point to point microwave repeaters and connectivity for IP based CCTV solutions.

The Edge – Office Anywhere provides connectivity to phone, data files, printers and wired users. Users have the ability to access key applications, documents email and internet and it provides secure encrypted connectivity and optimised data backup to head office which removes the need to have local servers at branch and remote offices. The Edge – Office Anywhere can be incorporated into both The Edge – VSAT Trailer and The Edge – Solar Mobility Trailer.
