Announcement posted by PeopleSoft 07 Jun 2001

PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT) and KPMG Consulting Inc. (Nasdaq: KCIN), one of the world's largest consulting companies, today announced a billing-integration solution for the communications industry -- PeopleSoft Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for Communications. The solution is currently shipping, with KPMG Consulting providing implementation services and support.

PeopleSoft CRM for Communications gives communications service providers an
expansive view into their most vital IT network -- the Operations Support Systems/Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS). PeopleSoft and KPMG Consulting
are integrating PeopleSoft CRM with the disparate OSS/BSS, allowing managers
to easily view enterprise-wide information from a variety of perspectives.

PeopleSoft and KPMG Consulting will provide dedicated resources to drive the
solution to wireline, wireless and broadband segments. Through functionality
developed specifically for the communications industry, the solution provides:
* Quick connectivity to a wide variety of information from OSS/BSS
applications, including services provisions, activation and inventory management
* Improved processing flow and accuracy of orders
* Accelerated return on investment through shortened product introductions
* Greater customer satisfaction through better customer support
* Simplified user interface resulting in reduced training costs and higher employee retention for customer support representatives

"Business across Asia Pacific will have the right technology and expertise to satisfy their customers and increase profitability. With PeopleSoft and KMPG, communications firms will be in an excellent position to lead the market," said Andrew Barkla, Regional Vice President, PeopleSoft Asia Pacific.
