CommInsure Delivers Enhanced Services to Wholesale Clients with Axelerator

Sydney, 12 December, 2011 - Axe Group, a fresh thinking software company, today announced that their Axelerator software has been implemented by CommInsure, the specialist insurance arm of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
CommInsure’s Wholesale Life division launched their insurance technology platform on December 1. Using the Axelerator software, the new system has been introduced initially for two of CommInsure’s largest industry fund clients, HESTA and CareSuper, and is now accessible by over 895,000 members of these funds.
The system presents members with a calculator so each member can assess their individual insurance needs and allows them to top up their insurance coverage, all through their fund’s portal. Quoting and underwriting processes linked to this are automated to allow for real-time responses, thereby enhancing the member experience.
The Axelerator Insurance Platform is an innovative software solution that supports rapid configuration and integration. Combining Working Models with a powerful rules engine and personalisation, the platform is easily configured to deliver a system that has an exact business fit for each insurer and is readily extensible for additional channels and products.
