Announcement posted by Softlink Australia 09 Feb 2012
Australian Schools using Softlink's Library Management Systems have had great achievements in 2010 and 2011.
Softlink, a local Australian-based developer of library and information solutions, would like to congratulate several schools within its customer base for their notable achievements in 2010 and 2011.
Narangba Valley State High School can be commended for their Year 12 student’s outstanding OP results in 2010. According to The Courier Mail, 96 per cent of the school’s OP-eligible students achieved an OP1 to OP15, a result up 74 per cent from the year before.
Last year, Ormiston State School celebrated many staff and student commendations
with 11 staff members nominated for a National Excellence in Teaching
Award, another winning the Bayside Bulletin’s “My Favourite Teacher”
competition, and Ormiston students being placed at the top 35% in the
State based on ICAS tests.
Assisi Catholic College’s iCentre Coordinator, Maureen Twomey, was the recipient of the 2011 Australian Teacher Librarian of the Year Award.
Maureen is a great promoter of Softlink’s Oliver Library Management
System and OverDrive eBooks based on her participation in a Softlink case study and testimonial video here.
All schools are current users of Softlink systems, including Oliver, the latest web-based Library Management System for 21st century learners.
“I
would like to congratulate Narangba Valley State High School, Ormiston
State School, and Assisi Catholic College on achieving outstanding
results for staff and students,” said Mr Kim Duffy, Chief Executive
Officer of Softlink.
“It’s inspiring to see this dedication to excellence and we’re pleased to have these schools on board as our clients.”
