Chance Encounter Leads to USA Expansion

Serena Liu was travelling in the UK with her family when she came across a Cafe2U van in a park. She was immediately struck by the concept, and upon returning home to Oregon, began researching the mobile coffee industry - only to find that Cafe2U USA had franchise opportunities available which would be perfect for her!
Cafe2U appealed to Serena because she wanted to determine her own work hours in order to maximise her time with her family. ‘It’s an added bonus that I love being around people and coffee as well!’ said Liu who is a wife and mother of two young children.
Serena and her assistant, Hannah Ames, attended the Cafe2U Academy at Cafe2U Australia’s Head Office in Sydney. They received comprehensive barista and business training and their on the job coaching has started with their two week launch this week. They are being assisted by Oregon based Franchise Development Manager Mark, and Australia Launch Specialist, Jo Mansfield.
Serena’s business is centred in the Eugene and Springfield areas in Oregon. The local workers are already experiencing the benefits of having espresso-based coffee made fresh at their workplace and have been waiting for Serena to arrive at the pre-booked time.
President of Cafe2U USA, Lee Johns, is excited for Liu. “The Cafe2U USA team expects great things from Serena and her new franchise in Eugene. The launch of Cafe2U Eugene follows the successful launch of Cafe2U Clovis, CA in January and is expected to be just the start of a great year for Cafe2U USA.
