29 February 2011 - Cranbourne Secondary College has received delivery of
fifty additional computers at no charge from Acer Computer Australia under its
unique Privilege Program.
Valued
at over $44,000, the Aspire A0573 notebooks will add to the school’s
existing IT infrastructure of 1160 Acer Aspire notebooks under its
one-one computer rollout.
George
Massouris, Vice Principal, Cranbourne Secondary College said, “This is
great news for our students who are now already experiencing the
benefits of digital learning. The computers are
being put to use in a variety of remarkable ways. For example, students
using desktop PCs will have access to the laptops whilst on excursions
and during extracurricular activities. Our aim is to ensure as many of
our students are always connected and
mobile.”
“The extra computers will also be installed in the library for 24/7 access and are available to all students.” Mr Massouris
noted.
Acer’s National Education Sales Manager Derek Walker said the Privilege Program is our way of giving back to the school
community.
“We’re
very excited to be providing this opportunity to Cranbourne Secondary
College. It’s also the first time one of our schools has
achieved a redemption claim of this scale.”

About Acer Privilege Program
• The Acer Privilege Program is designed to reward schools, from kindergarten through to year
12, for purchasing Acer products.
• Schools can earn points for their purchase of Acer equipment. Those points can be used to claim merchandise from the Acer
Redemption Catalogue.

To earn points, schools must purchase qualifying Acer products from an
Acer Authorised Education Reseller, and register their claims online
within 30 days of purchase.
• Points are valid for 18 months.
