Image Design Technology expands with new Melbourne Showroom

The new Showroom, to be utilised for training and product demonstrations, will be headed by Spiros Vassililou who has been the IDT Regional Sales Representative for Melbourne and Tasmania since 2005. Vassililou’s role in IDT’s new Melbourne office will be to leverage the city’s strong market as well as oversee a space to conduct product training and product demonstrations for clients and end users.

According to Gerry Wilkins, Managing Director of IDT, the new facility is the first step in building a much stronger network for the company’s channel partners across the country.

“I’m really excited to have a new Training and Product Showroom where we can truly engage with our customers for demonstrations and training on our various product lines.  The new facilities will also allow our Victorian and Tasmanian customers to have better access to our products and technical support resources,” said Wilkins. 

IDT, whose range of distributed brands include Avitech, Front Row Calypso Systems, Haivision, Jupiter Systems and Samsung, has been operating for over ten years providing specialised support to AV professionals across Australia.

The company’s head office is based in Chatswood with representatives in Melbourne, Perth, and Auckland. The Melbourne office expansion will be the first of many with IDT also planning to expand to Auckland.

According to Spiros Vassililou, IDT Regional Sales Representative, having a Training and Product Showroom is important to our clients so they can be confident in knowing that what they see is going to work for them.

“Rather than transporting the equipment over to our clients, we can now sit down with them in a relaxed environment and go through their requirements in detail.”
