Credit Union SA Announces Local CEO Appointment

After an extensive national search for a new Chief Executive Officer, the board of Credit Union SA is very pleased to announce the appointment of an outstanding local - Grant Strawbridge.

Grant has twenty five years experience in senior management and executive management roles in the banking industry and more particularly within the mutual banking sector having worked for People’s Choice Credit Union (Australian Central Credit Union Ltd)

Credit Union SA Chair Alexandrea Cannon said “Grant brings to Credit Union SA a wealth of experience in strategic development, business planning and financial management, as well as a clear understanding of the values and expectations of credit union members, giving him the depth of knowledge required to drive Credit Union SA’s long term growth”.

In addition “Grant’s immense and diverse skill set and personal values align well with the future direction set for Credit Union SA,” Ms Cannon said.

Grant inherits a strong, healthy organisation that has seven branches across the state, with assets of over $750 million, employs around 140 South Australians and has over 50,000 members.

With this appointment Credit Union SA has confirmed it remains solidly committed to South Australia and its future, and to providing its members with the products and services they are looking for while still helping to support our local communities.

Grant Strawbridge will begin his role as the new Chief Executive Officer effective 16 April, and there is already a great deal of excitement towards the future for Credit Union SA.
