Complete Management Team in Australia and Asia Pacific Expands FalconStor’s Footprint
SYDNEY, April 30, 2012 — FalconStor Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: FALC), the market leader in disk-based data protection solutions, today announced that it has strengthened the company’s Australia/New Zealand (ANZ) and Asia Pacific (APAC) sales and support operations management with the appointment of Vic Masi as country manager of ANZ and Suresh Nair as general manager and vice president for APAC. The new executive appointments complete FalconStor’s core management team and are designed to increase customer support and provide growth with existing and newly appointed channel partners.

Masi has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated innovative business leadership and people development strategies that can take a company to the next level in a short span of time. During his three years at Oracle, Masi grew and managed the annuity stream for the Core Infrastructure and Fusion Middleware operations, which comprised 35 percent of the business across these product lines. During his time at Netsuite, he re-engineered and established an inside sales team that focused on specific industries; this innovative business development and sales strategy, combined with comprehensive staff training, resulted in 64 percent year-on-year growth in fiscal year 2006.

Nair has extensive storage sales experience, most recently as EMC’s regional sales director for APAC and Japan. At EMC, he established and led a regional sales team within the unified storage business and influenced the channel strategy, resulting in an 85 percent year-on-year growth in fiscal year 2010. Nair was regional director of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) for NetApp, regional sales director for ASEAN/India at McData Corporation, and regional business director in Asia Pacific for Hewlett Packard.
