Starcom picks up Riedel, retains Harris Scarfe

Announcement posted by Access Public Relations 07 May 2012

Starcom has won the business for high-end glassware brand Riedel, and retained retail chain Harris Scarfe.

The agency was reappointed by Harris Scarfe, an account it has held for the past eight years, after a competitive pitch against Nunn Media, Mindshare and OMD.

Starcom Chief Operating Officer Chris Nolan said the agency’s digital and data capability will lead Harris Scarfe into a data and analytics-led approach to retail marketing.

"It’s a great endorsement for Starcom to retain this business in such a competitive market and is further evidence that our product is resonating strongly with clients and differentiating us from our competitors," Nolan said.

Starcom Sydney Group Business Director Josh Sharp said the agency won the Riedel account by demonstrating how it could transition the Riedel business through the line, rather than focusing purely on one dimensional traditional media. The incumbent agency was Vizeum.

"As well as our strategic approach, Starcom’s digital and social media know-how were instrumental in securing Riedel’s business, I am excited to be working on such a prestige brand, and look forward to working closely with Riedel on moving their business forward," Sharp said.
