Kingston Releases Firmware Update for SSDNow V200
Better Consumer Value with Increased Performance at New Lower Price

Sydney, Australia – June 15, 2012 – Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced a new firmware update for the 64GB and 128GB SSDNow V200 that increases performance and fixes known bugs. The SSDNow V200 is the latest generation of the entry-level, budget V series that helps consumers revive and extend the life of their current PC, bringing value and high performance to consumers looking for a super affordable upgrade option.
The new firmware update increases IOPS performance for the 64GB and 128GB capacities. Random write IOPS have increased 136 percent for the 64GB, and 129 percent for the 128GB*. Random read IOPS have increased 22 percent for the 64GB, and 5 percent for the 128GB compared to the previous drive*. The 256GB capacity is unaffected and does not require the firmware update.
