AVG (AU/NZ) Invests in Reseller Training to Develop Trusted Advisors
MELBOURNE, 3 July 2012 — The exceptional feedback from resellers who have completed the first two modules of a Technical Training Series has justified the latest significant investment in channel support by AVG (AU/NZ) Pty Ltd, distributor of AVG Technologies’ award-winning AVG Internet and mobile security software in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific.
The program is designed to develop the capabilities of AVG (AU/NZ) resellers and provide the authoritative position from which they can be seen by customers as the trusted advisor on all aspects of online security.
This recently announced, rolling series of six modules covers online security and protection advice for business and consumer customers; technical tools; and streamlining account administration. The modules are not sequential, and each is run twice in a month, so current and new resellers are able to join the program at any time.
Michael Dowling, Corporate Sales Director at AVG (AU/NZ), said: “Our significant investment in this innovative training program is a prime example of AVG (AU/NZ)’s drive to overlay AVG’s global expertise in the dynamic online protection field with the business needs of our local resellers.
“The focus of all our channel programs is to ensure Australian resellers stand out from the crowd by being the most competent in this marketplace and being able to profitably and successfully meet their customers’ needs.”
The program is conducted by Liz Kipp, Training and Business Product Specialist, who developed the content based on surveys and feedback from resellers. “The continuing, number one requirement from our resellers is for easy access to the latest knowledge on AVG’s robust security solutions. We are always looking to offer new and effective ways to build their businesses and customer relationship capabilities. The interactive webinars ensure participation is relevant and meaningful for all,” Ms Kipp said.
The large number of resellers from across Australia who attended the first two workshops, and their overwhelmingly positive responses, has proven the immediate value of the project. With comments such as: “Very worthwhile program that clearly explains about AVG [which will] in turn help with my customer service” and “The content was ALL very useful. I'm already looking forward to the next one”, AVG (AU/NZ) will continue to develop and update its curriculum.
