Announcement posted by ChannelAdvisor 26 Jul 2012

Melbourne, Australia – July 26, 2012 – ChannelAdvisor, a global software and services solution provider that enables online retailers to be seen and sell more across e-commerce channels, announced today that Harvey Norman, Reader’s Digest, Ted’s Cameras, OHKI, SurfStitch, ANTA Sports, Aimer, CrazySales.com.au and many other retailers signed on with ChannelAdvisor’s e-commerce platform to expand into global markets. During the second quarter, ChannelAdvisor extended support for Amazon.com for retailers in APAC and Trade Me for Australian retailers, providing greater access to new sources of worldwide demand. Additionally, ChannelAdvisor extended its Managed Services provisions in the region.

“Selling on Amazon.com is a dream come true for Asia Pacific retailers,” said Mark Gray, Managing Director, APAC, ChannelAdvisor. “Previously, retailers in this region were only able to purchase from Amazon, but now being able to sell on this widely regarded and relied upon avenue for online shopping can only mean good things for the local retail market. We are excited to offer support for those retailers exploring this new option as well as those looking to expand their brand presence on Trade Me, which sets ChannelAdvisor apart for other solution providers.”

The new arrangement with Trade Me, which will officially launch in September, will provide Australian retailers with the opportunity to get their merchandise in front of more than 660,000 Kiwis who visit Trade Me each day.

ChannelAdvisor’s Marketplaces solution offers retailers easy and cost-effective access to Amazon and Trade Me through a simple integration with the ChannelAdvisor system. Using sophisticated software, ChannelAdvisor automates the listing process and inventory management across multiple channels to ensure that products can be seen and are available online.

“Cross-border trade is a major focus of the e-commerce industry as retailers are looking to expand their visibility into new markets and consumers are shopping for unique products online,” said ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo. “Our goal is to support retailers jumping into internationalisation, and being able to help them sell on Amazon and Trade Me is a big first step in accomplishing this task. Additionally, by offering the guidance and expertise of our Managed Services team to retailers in this region, we hope to help them advance their e-commerce business on these marketplaces and beyond in the most logical and profitable way.”

ChannelAdvisor’s Managed Services team is compiled of e-commerce specialists that guide retailers’ strategy development and implementation. This team of experts has a deep understanding of online retail fundamentals and is up-to-date on all current happenings and changes taking place in the industry. Using the Managed Services team, retailers are able to stay ahead of the competition and have the time to focus on other areas of their business.

The ChannelAdvisor platform is a holistic solution that provides access to multiple online channels, allowing retailers to operate and manage their global e-commerce endeavours from one central location. The ChannelAdvisor system enables retailers to efficiently scale their online businesses on marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay and Trade Me; search and shopping engines; and with rich media and webstores solutions.
