Dimension Data appoints General Manager for ITO
Sydney, Australia – 31 July 2012 – Dimension Data, the ICT services and solutions provider, today announced the promotion of Haydn Faltyn to General Manager for the fast growing ITO (IT Outsourcing) practice.
Rodd Cunico, CEO of Dimension Data Australia, said, “This newly created leadership role is a significant appointment and we are delighted to be promoting from within. As GM of ITO, Haydn Faltyn will report into Director of Services, Duncan Brown and has overall responsibility for strengthening the go-to-market strategy around ITO, managing existing client satisfaction and driving further new growth around the services-led model.
A highly knowledgeable engineer with over 22 years of experience, Haydn said that the appointment was an exciting one that offered significant opportunity. “Dimension Data is in a unique position to bring together its deep technical skills and cloud services with the discipline of its ITO service delivery team. This means that our clients can confidently and selectively source IT services from Dimension Data regardless of where they are in their IT operational journey,” said Haydn.
“Our ITO client portfolio is diverse and made up of multiple sectors including Government, mining, banking and retail.
“By outsourcing their IT to service providers that invest heavily in the people, processes and systems to manage entire technology domains, our clients can achieve greater cost efficiencies, agility and scalability, while at the same time concentrating on their core business.
Dimension Data’s ITO business was launched in 2009 in Australia to meet growing enterprise demand for part or fully outsourced IT services. The business manages clients’ vendor and service provider relationships across the service desk, network, desktop, data centre and contact centre environments.
Haydn Faltyn originally joined Dimension Data in 1990 as an engineer within Datacraft Australia and progressed through the organisation in a number of senior sales and technical roles. He holds an honours degree in electronic and communications engineering from Swinburne University of Technology.
