Sydney 9 August, 2012: Canon Australia has today announced a new premium support offering that provides consumers with the peace of mind of complete Canon manufacturer backing and benefits including full product replacement and free freight when making a claim for up to three years from the date of purchase. The Canon Care Pack offers consumers another benefit for buying locally and is available now from Authorised Canon Resellers and the Canon Australia Online Store (some product exclusions apply)*1.
“We are thrilled to announce the Canon Care Pack in response to demand from Australian consumers for a manufacturer-backed service offering that goes above and beyond the provisions of a standard manufacturer’s warranty,” said Jason McLean, Director – Canon Consumer Imaging, Canon Australia. “The Canon Care Pack applies for three years from the date of purchase, but it is not an extended warranty. The benefits far exceed the warranty provisions by offering full product replacement on manufacturer defects and free freight for any claims.”
The Care Pack can be used with a new consumer product (not specifically excluded*1) that is distributed by Canon Australia and is purchased in Australia from Canon Australia or an Authorised Reseller. Where a consumer purchases multiple eligible products as part of one Canon kit or bundle, whether created by Canon Australia or a reseller (as evidenced by a single receipt), all eligible products comprised in the kit will be covered by the one Care Pack.
