Integrate 2012 Celebrates Another Successful Year With 19% Increase In Visitor Numbers

Australia’s largest audio visual and ICT event reaffirms its position as the must-attend trade show for industry professionals

Integrate 2012, in association with InfoComm International, Australia’s largest audio visual and ICT event, has reaffirmed its position as the must-attend trade show for industry professionals, having celebrated another highly successful year with strong visitor numbers, up 19% over last year[1].

Event organiser, Diversified Exhibitions Australia, has received an overwhelming response from this year’s participants.

Katrina Power, Senior Marketing Manager – Channel at NEC Australia Pty Ltd, commented, “As an exhibitor it is very rare to feel the energy, buzz and excitement that was in evidence over the three days at Integrate. The event delivered great exposure for our brand and enabled NEC to showcase our new products and solutions to a quality industry audience.”

Integrate 2013 has already re-signed over 2000 square metres of exhibiting space and due to high demand, is looking to expand next year’s show at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre in August 2013.

“We are delighted with the positive feedback we have received from the industry. Our decision to move venue in 2012 has paid dividends with this year’s event attracting more exhibitors and senior decision makers than in previous years,” said Mary Giugni, Exhibition Manager, Integrate 2012 at Diversified Exhibitions Australia.

Educational Seminars

Hosted by InfoComm International and Diversified Exhibitions Australia, Integrate explored some of the most pressing topics affecting the industry through a series of educational seminars. Among the key trends dominating this sector included the implications of a ‘Network Centric’ era, AV asset management and how the consumerisation of IT is impacting Australian businesses.

Michael Harte, CIO of The Commonwealth Bank, was among the impressive line-up of speakers at this year’s show. Mr Harte commented on the major shift that the consumerisation of IT is having on the industry. Andy Pearce, Regional Manager at Biamp Systems and Graham Hendry, Vice President of TC Group International, were also among some of the industry experts that spoke at this year’s event in the session ‘I can't hear you - Making audio work well in business applications'. Patrick McComish, Business Development Manager at TeamBoard Australia, hosted an education session discussing how virtualisation can reduce operating costs; while Laureen Jones, CTS Technology Solutions Manager at Te Papa Tongarewa, National Museum of New Zealand, presented an insiders guide for all-in-one management of an AV department.

Terry Coe, President of the Association of Educational Technology Managers (AETM) attended Integrate 2012 and commented,“Not only did Integrate provide AETM members with relevant products, knowledge and industry training; unlike other events, it proved extremely useful to the universitiy sector as all of the vendors at the event, are able to supply and support both the Australia and New Zealand markets.”

Show Floor

On the show floor visitors had the chance to preview some of the latest AV and ICT equipment on the market from the industry’s leading brands including Hills SVL Group, Sony, AMX, NEC, Epson, Kramer and LG. This included video walls, digital signage, projectors, LCD, LED, e-learning boards, touchscreen solutions, audio mixing technology, lighting, audio, video conferencing equipment and more.

John Ungerer, Managing Director at Kramer Electronics Australia also stated, “Diversified Exhibitions has hosted a very professional event and one that is fast becoming the must-attend trade show for the AV industry. We received a lot of very positive feedback about the look and feel of our new stand, but it was the event itself that made our experience a real success.”
