Cooler Master goes for Silence and Elegance with the new Silencio 650 dual-boot case
Combining superior internal noise dampening with a powerful feature set.
Sydney, Australia – 17 September 2012 – Cooler Master introduces the Silencio 650, a high-end silent case with unique features including a DualBoot switch, fan controller and USB 3.0 on the front panel. On the inside, the case has a layer of noise dampening foam, a hot swap X-dock and enough room for up to eight hard drives and three high-end graphics cards.
Silent Elegant Design
The Silencio 650 has a sophisticated diamond-cut aluminium front panel, concealable air ducts and a fan control that supports up to 6 fans. The front panel conceals the optical drive bays and two 100mm fans with a removable dust filter. The case also has a rear 100mm exhaust fan as well. The design, while seemingly simplistic, is focused on reducing internal noise through the strategic placement of the sound damping foam. Silence.
The Silencio 650 has a robust I/O panel including a DualBoot hard drive switch allowing you choose which drive to boot from, effectively alternating between two separate operating systems. The I/O panel also features a fan controller for up to 6 fans that work at 700 or 1200RPM, an SD card reader and super speed USB 3.0 ports that double as rapid charging ports for smartphones and tablets with roughly 1A of power.
Silencio 650 supports a total of 7 + 1 expansion slots that allows you to setup a 3-way SLI or CrossFireX, with the option to house ultra-long high-end graphics cards of up to 434.0mm / 17.1” (after removing the upper HDD cage). In addition, the 3.5”/2.5” Hot swappable X-Dock and seven HDD bays provide plenty of storage expansion.
