Data Breach Trends in 2012 – Symantec August Intelligence Report

Good morning,

Over the last year and half data breaches of all kinds having been making headlines. From high profile breaches involving millions of identities, to smaller more targeted attacks involving only a handful of identities, new data from Symantec shows that the average number of breaches in 2012 isn’t slowing down. But what’s interesting is that the number of identities compromised in these breaches is on the decline.

Symantec’s August Intelligence Report compares late 2011 with the year so far to identify new trends and dive deeper into the data behind data breaches.

Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to speak to someone at Symantec about the report.
