Organisations still facing difficulties implementing Enterprise Risk Management programs

This October and November, CompliSpace will hold a series of Enterprise Risk Management – Advanced Classes across Australia, after recognising that many organisations face difficulties in implementing effective Enterprise Risk Management programs.

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) – Advanced Class is designed to take participants through a series of tips and traps that will enable them to practically implement an ISO 31000 ERM program that adds real value to their organisation. 

CompliSpace’s Managing Director, James Field, said “We decided to introduce the ERM – Advanced Class to our program of workshops, after finding that many Executives, Directors and Managers have a working knowledge of ISO 31000, but often experience difficulty in implementing and integrating an effective ERM program into their organisation.”

The establishment of an ISO 31000 Enterprise Risk Management program is often a key legal and regulatory requirement for many organisations.   However, the success of an ERM program can be short-lived if key executives view risk management as a compliance burden and not a process that will add real value to their organisation.

The Enterprise Risk Management – Advanced Class workshop will run as two sessions on the same day.  Attendees can choose to come to both sessions, or just attend one.   The workshop will cover the following areas:

Morning session: will address common risk management mistakes, and techniques to overcome them.

Afternoon session: will cover practical ERM implementation techniques, including the use of governance, risk and compliance technology, and will focus on converting theory into practice.

Workshops will be held in Melbourne (17 Oct), Sydney (25 Oct), Brisbane (29 Oct) and Perth (12 Nov).
