Announcement posted by Beyond Bank Australia 31 Oct 2012
Community CPS Australia’s Direct Marketing Manager, Cas Scott, has been recognised for her innovative approach to communications in a global search for the credit union sector’s emerging leaders.
Ms Scott was nominated for her role in creating, maintaining and growing the financial institution’s social media channels, “We’re Listening”, and became the first Australian to be part of the competition.
The search for the Next Top Credit Union Executive is run by the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) to find the industry’s emerging leaders under 35 years of age.
Nominees submitted a short video about their innovative projects, which were judged by the public to select the best 15 candidates. During the next phase Ms Scott was selected as one of five finalists, winning a $6,000 package including flights to Florida, where the winner will be determined.
“I’m thrilled to have made it this far in the competition and I’m looking forward to meeting the other finalists and drawing inspiration from them when I fly to Florida on November 4,” Ms Scott said.
“I’m also grateful to have the support from Community CPS Australia to explore what other credit unions are doing around the world, where the industry is heading and how we can further improve and develop our operations.”
While in Florida, Ms Scott will compete against four other finalists for a CUES educational package valued at $20,000 and to be named the 2012 CUES Next Top Credit Union Executive. The winner will be announced on 7 November 2012.
