Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is set to launch its Brisbane Corporate Support Group facility in Wacol next week.
With a total investment of more than $80 million, the 80,000 square metre world-class facility is the largest of its kind in the Brisbane metropolitan area.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia’s national marketing communications manager Amanda Michael said the facility was equipped with the latest technology and innovation.
“This facility will boost our support capabilities to a whole new level,” Ms Michael said.
“The facility will be responsible for comprehensive product and service support, as well as the sale, remanufacture, and assembly of mining and construction equipment across the East Coast of Australia.
“This modern and specialised facility has the capacity to assemble Hitachi electric drive mining dump trucks up to 360 tonnes, as well as a fully enclosed heated spray booth capable of painting dump trucks of the same size.
“In alignment with the company’s continued recruitment growth, the Brisbane Corporate Support Group aims to stimulate the local economy by creating employment opportunities within the region,” she said.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia provides solutions for the needs of the Australian mining, construction, quarry, forestry, and material handling industries.
