SocialCallout.com has gone live!

Announcement posted by 360 Immerse Agency 16 Nov 2012

A new online service connecting brands & businesses with social media influencers

SocialCallout.com is an all-new service for brands, agencies representing brands, business and social media influencers. It is a timesaving platform that provides a much easier way to work together.

SocialCallout.com is like seek.com.au; instead of connecting employers and employees, it connects brands with bloggers or social media influencers. It is already proving a welcome tool that helps save time.

By introducing relevant social media influencers: bloggers, influencers on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. directly to brands or the agencies that represent those brands, the hours spent looking for the right connections, are saved. For any social media influencers or brands wanting to work together, SocialCallout.com is proving a handy intermediary; for PR and marketing teams this is a service that will complement any existing campaign plans.

The founding team behind SocialCallout.com is excited to bring this new service to the fore. Katrina Allen, co-founder and co-creator of SocialCallout.com, and owner of brands De Jour and Budons, said, “After more than 10 years as an Advertising Creative, then more than 14 years as a brand owner, I can’t help but keep trying to come up with ways to connect brands with social media influencers. To be involved in the creation of a simplistic platform which could revolutionise the way social media influencers and brands connect, could be one of the most exciting initiatives I’ve ever been involved with.”

So how exactly does it work?

Brands can post callouts to engage with bloggers on SocialCallout.com. There are guidelines provided to help you on your way to ensure any callout is highly targeted. Alerts are then sent to the bloggers whom suit the callout.

Bloggers / social media influencers sign up to receive callouts from their categories of choice. For example, a fashion blogger will only receive callouts from brands in the categories they are specifically interested in, and sports bloggers won’t be receiving callouts about baby products.

Social media influencers or bloggers that find a brand’s callout appealing can respond to it, connecting directly with the brand.

Brands can place callouts looking for bloggers and social media influencers who are willing to review products, ghostwrite blog posts, attend events, write sponsored posts, trial and giveaway samples, run competitions, conduct market research, or become brand ambassadors ... the list goes on.

Michelle Palmer, owner of 360 Immerse PR Agency and a pioneer in online publishing with women’s online magazine Girl.com.au, then Femail.com.au (both now sold) and joint founder & creator of SocialCallout.com added: “Working in PR, marketing and online publishing for over 12 years, I’ve seen the constant evolution of media and communications platforms and the ways in which consumers find out about brands. SocialCallout.com will help make the transition for brands, wishing to connect with social media influencers, easier.”

How much does it cost?

SocialCallout.com is free for bloggers and social media influencers, and is only a small cost for brands, making it easily accessible for businesses of all sizes to connect with powerful communities within social media.

At the same time, it gives social media influencers, easier access to brands – and provides opportunities to earn money from the influence they have within their social media community.

“SocialCallout.com is all about helping ordinary people who have an influential social media voice to connect with brands in a way that's mutually beneficial. I'm excited to be involved in a startup that's about building communities and creating relationships," said Valerie Khoo, founder of the Sydney Writers' Centre, ambassador of the Best Australian Blogs Competition and partner in SocialCallout.com.

71% of online Australians are reading other consumers’ opinions and discussions about brands. 49% read blogs - 2012 Nielson Report.

This shows that social media influencers have a voice – a loud one. It is authentic, influential and an imperative part of any good marketing or public relations strategy.

Partner in SocialCallout.com, Antony Cormack added, “ The value of Social Influence online has never been greater. In a time when consumers are looking to the voice of their peers for influence and that community is increasingly an online one, brands are in need of more meaningful ways to connect and work with influencers.

In Social Callout I'm excited that we have a service that helps Influencers and Brands work together on their own terms.”

SocialCallout.com is set to change the way that brands interact with bloggers and social media influencers by making it easier, accessible and affordable for all.
