Long-Time Emporio Team Member Nick Criss

Assumes New Role as In-House Residential Sales Executive

Complex’s Sales and Display Suite Relocates to Newly Completed Emporio Commercial Building

Reed Property Group (RPG), one of Queensland’s leading family-owned property companies, today announced the appointment of long-time Emporio team member Nicholas “Nick” Criss, recently of Ray White, as in-house residential Sales Executive for the Emporio development.

The move coincides with the relocation of the Emporio sales and display suite into newly completed commercial building, where potential residents and investors can gain a firsthand look at the complex’s contemporary amenities and interiors, as well as a sneak preview of the next stage of the development, 3 Emporio Place.

Mr Criss will focus his energies on the Group’s residential projects, with a special emphasis on Emporio.  It’s a project he’s strongly familiar with, having supported residential sales for the past two years.

“We’ve been so lucky to have Nick as a business partner for some time – and now feel even luckier to have him officially on our in-house team,” said Jason Kollanyi, sales and marketing manager for the Reed Property Group.

“Nick’s capabilities in residential sales are a strong driver behind the success of our Emporio development to date, and we look forward to the next stage’s success, with Nick at the helm.”

Mr Criss brings strong and varied experience in residential real estate to the position. In addition to his contributions to Emporio over the past two years, he worked previously as a real estate agent in fast-growing Townsville. Mr Criss is also a former Australian Army rifleman, and served his country in East Timor in 2003.

“Moving into this position with the Reed Property Group feels like coming home,” Mr Criss shared. “I’ve been intimately involved with residential sales at Emporio since its inception, and now joining the staff of Reed Property Group feels like a natural progression – and the perfect fit. It’s an incredibly way to end an incredible year,” he noted. In 2012 Mr Criss became a father for the first time, welcoming daughter Maeve.

“We look forward to providing Nick with new challenges and responsibilities, given his move under our Reed umbrella,” noted Mr Kollanyi. “As we continue to develop dynamic and contemporary residential properties in key locations across Queensland, he will be an ideal fit for liaising with interested purchasers.”

3 Emporio Place generates investor interest

With Stage One of Emporio now complete, Mr Criss noted that there has been considerable interest from investors in the next stage of the mixed-use community, 3 Emporio Place.

Nicholas Criss attributes the recent increase in interest to a number of major benefits at Emporio which has investors pricking up their ears.

Firstly, he said investors are tapping into incentives offered by the government in order to generate a cash flow positive opportunity which means their income and tax benefits are greater than the expenses.

“Other benefits for investors include the opportunity to invest in a much needed new property in the heart of the Maroochydore CBD from just $267,500,” Mr Criss said.

Why the product is so needed one might ask?

Mr Criss noted the major infrastructure projects underway across the Coast including the Sunshine Coast University Hospital; the Maroochydore Principal Activity Centre (PAC); Stockland’s new town centre; and the Sunshine Coast Airport redevelopment which are all driving the demand for rentals in Maroochydore.

“More than $7 billion is being spent on local infrastructure in the surrounding area alone which will generate more than 40,000 jobs over the next ten years,” Mr Criss said.

“The increase in jobs in itself is driving the demand for rental properties across the Coast, in particular in the Maroochydore CBD which is at the centre of where all the major projects are taking place.”

With an influx of Coast visitors anticipated for Christmas, he is also excited for heightened foot traffic of investors keen to grab a sneak preview of the next stage. The newly relocated display suite will be also ready for business come the end of January.

“An economic rebirth for the Sunshine Coast is underway, with multiple facets of growth occurring across sectors from transportation to education and health. As such, for investors on the hunt for a great deal, 3 Emporio Place should top the list,” Mr Criss noted.

Stage Two includes 82 one, two and three-bedroom residential apartments, and also incorporates a both retail and professional office space all in the vibrant and ever-emerging CBD of Maroochydore.

“Stage Two was purposely built designed with the current investors’ market in mind to provide the best possible return on investment,” said Mr Criss.
