Companies wanting to exploit the boom in online shopping will find everything they need at Victoria’s largest eCommerce Conference & Expo, to be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 16-18, 2013.
With online sales in Australia predicted to grow from $16 billion in 2012 to a massive $26.9 billion in 2016 (Australian and New Zealand Online Shopping Report 2012), retailers and service providers need to act now to secure their slice of the eCommerce pie.
Developed by the team that organises “Online Retailer” (Australia’s largest event for online retailers), the eCommerce Conference & Expo is designed to educate businesses about the different technologies, trends and insights they need to ensure their success in the online economy.
At the heart of the event is a two day, multi-track conference that is targeted at anyone who is selling or wants to sell online. The event will feature more than 60 expert speakers across the conference and exhibition, including 25 international legends of eCommerce willing to share the secrets of their success.
The event will bring together Victoria’s largest gathering of eCommerce suppliers, with many fascinating case studies of companies that are leading the way in leveraging the digital revolution to grow their business and access new markets.
On top of that, the event features:
eCommerce Melbourne’s Event Director, Andrew Jones, said the three day event will equip organisations with the knowledge and connections to either establish a successful eCommerce site or to take their online business to the next level.
“We’re delighted to have been able to attract some of the most respected names in eCommerce from around Australia and the world to share their unique knowledge and experience with the Melbourne business community,” he said.
“Not only are we bringing in the leading vendors to explain the latest technology trends and developments that anyone selling online need to know about, but we’ve also managed to secure an amazing line-up of high profile international eCommerce experts from hugely successful online businesses like Patagonia, eBags, Green Mountain Roasters, and Ice.com to inspire delegates with their experiences.
“Rather than starting from scratch, delegates will be able to use what they learn here to leapfrog current standards of practice and establish an eCommerce business with a competitive edge that delivers all the efficiency and cost savings benefits of selling online while enabling them to gain access to new customers and different markets,” said Mr Jones.
The conference program also features keynote presentations from leading online players such as Disney, NASA and Hyatt Hotels, among others.
As part of its commitment to educating Melbourne businesses about the online economy, the Expo and several of the keynote presentations are free to attend. Tickets to attend the two day conference start from just $645, with discounts for groups and early bird registrations.
