Announcement posted by Andable 25 Mar 2013

Andable is an online marketplace for FRESH products (Fairtrade, Resused, Eco-friendly, Supports local business, and / or Handmade) sold by indie sellers in Australia and abroad. 10% of every sale helps fund a micro loan to a person in need, via their partner Kiva.org. With every purchase, you support a small business both here and abroad.
Rupal Ismin, Director of Andable says “People love lending a hand to others and we give them a personal but structured way of doing so. You get to see the individual and learn about the business that your purchase helps support.”
Since its launch in July last year, Andable buyers and sellers have helped fund micro loans to 27 people like Ri (above) in 16 countries like Chile, Rwanda, Philippines, and Cambodia. Micro loans are an amazing way to pay it forward, because your loan helps empower a person forever. Every loan helps 5 individuals out of the cycle of poverty.
Andable is part of a small but growing number of businesses that incorporate the concept of “Pay it Forward’ in their models, in which you can do good as you buy. Paying it forward is just as part of the foundation of the business as profit.
When you buy, we share.

About Andable
Andable is an online marketplace with thousands of products from indie sellers from Australia and abroad. For women, for men, for you, for home.
The Andable platform is for designers, creatives and indie shops each with a unique story to tell. Every product on Andable is a little bit FRESH:
Every time you buy on Andable, you’re supporting a small business, both here and abroad.
Andable is a social enterprise. Every sale helps fund a micro loan to a person in need, facilitated by our partner Kiva. Because it’s a loan, it gets repaid, and we pay our sellers their contribution after three months, guaranteed. It‘s a globally unique model of good.
